Yep, that would be terrific too - but definitely hard to implement given the complexity of the things and number of variables.
Hi All, I have released V4 of the Logs, and created a website which is now devoted to the Silver Log, Gold Log and the all new Gold and Silver log. I have added a powerful new formula into all the logs which works out Return on Investment based on time held. So not only will you be able to see the sale profit/loss as a $ or %, you will now be able to see how that profit/loss stacks up against the time that you held it. Quite a complicated little formula which had me tearing my hair out. Besides combining the 2 sheets the all new Gold and Silver log has a new comparison tab which displays the current GSR and your GSR. Please click the website link underneath my profile picture if you would like to know more. Cheers, HB.
I honestly don't know much about Mac's. I know a couple of users having been using the spreadsheets in open office and they were working. The sheets have been designed to work with excel so I'm not sure how they would go on the Mac...sorry cant really answer that one!
Oh I was just going on the basis that since I am buying (leasing) an .exe program it had to be limited to windows. Not trying to dis the app - if I could I'd love to have it I'm just assuming it can't work on a mac (unless I run Parallel or similar which I don't have nor want if it's at all possible)
Hi all, Some of you may have missed my earlier post re setting up my own website for the Silver/Gold logs. I have made some changes in the way that the Silver/Gold logs are distributed, the biggest being that I now no longer distribute the logs for free. Unfortuntaley I can't edit my first post on this thread and edit the sentence which says that I do. I know this will disappoint alot of you, for that I am sorry. In the beginning it started as simple spreadsheet for myself to track my profit and loss, from there it evolved into many versions along the way. The reasons for moving to a cost based system are many, with the main one being how much time I was devoting to actually emailing the Logs out every week. The amount of interest has quite simply overwhelmed me, for that I thank everyone. If you would like to visit my site please click my signature or the website link under my profile pic. Kind regards, HB.
