Provident Metals is the best all around. Not the widest selection, but better pricing than Apmex and faster shipping than GoldMart. GoldMart will usually have the lowest prices on low premium government metals though.
Only bars I ever bought were from Provident. In 2011, 20 1oz silver tiger bars and recently a 1 oz OPM gold bar. All were damaged and Provident refused to take them back.
apmex is good, that's who i buy from but they have a $15 shipping fee and you have to spend a minimum of $50 -.- . whenever i buy from apmex i try to buy in larger quantities so i can distribute the $15 evenly to all of the silver. i don't want to buy 2 ounces of silver with $15 shipping and handling because then that means each ounce for $7.5 more than what it's worth which can be hard and might take a long time to happen. As someone else said, GoldMart will usually have the lowest prices on low premium government metals. So take a look there too and at provident metals
I would recommend finding listings by MCM, Scottsdale Silver, Aydin, Apmex, etc on ebay, usually you get a much better price from my experience on there.
Gainesville Coins is an interesting company. Check out http://www.bizjournals.com/tampabay...tml?page=all Also read the 2/15/12 item (4th down from the top) from Tony S at this address--- http://www.sitejabber.com/reviews/w...llecoins.com I never dealt with National Gold Exchange and I never have been a Gainesville customer, so no judgements or suggestions from me. I do however find the history to be interesting reading.
Provident Metals and Scottsdale Silver are the two cheapest sites to buy silver from in the US 90% of the time. I have bought many times from both and have always been satisfied. Gainesville Coins and Silvertowne would probably be 3rd and 4th.
Provident, hands down. My typical order: 1. Place order online. 2. Tell online bank to send check. 3. Six days later check is received. PA to TX. 4. Seven days later check is cleared and order is shipped. 5. Two to five days later order received. Always figure 21 days order to door. Never had a problem, usually shorter. And always have updates from them, lets me know the status of the order via email. Gotta be my favorite online dealer. But I'm in the US, so your mileage may vary...
may be next time you can be our American friend also there are Provident silver that we may want to buy
