A really nice design.. i do like the art.. this one may actually be a good investment and represent good value for money.. however that is speculation and i myself will not be buying one, props to the art dept at PM though.. great design.

Also i know low mintage is irrealavant compared to demand but only 2,013 of these Perth ANDA Coin Show Specials will be issued for the event

I take particular delight picking up PM modern high premium proof stuff near spot.. my LCS always has a regular supply.. happy to walk out if they try to charge me more than a non colour proof.. i love walking sometimes.

Roman Mythology and Chinese Mythology on the same coin, surely there was space to throw on a few Norse gods as well.

The Caduceus / Staff of Asclepius? Not chinese mate.. i see nothing chinese on the design, very ancient symbology.. predating roman and Greek mythology although featured as the rod of Hermes .. babylon.. genesis bible.. secret of human creation.. red cross.. something something

regardless cool design.. and its the chinese lunar year of the snake.. so any excuse to feature a snake right..

Not Asclepius, he could only afford one snake, Mercury splashed out and got two snakes.

The Chinese Lunar year counts as Chinese Mythology doesn't it, I am sure there was a myth as to why those animals appear.

I would have gone with a dragon, worked out nicely last year.

Great! 2013 single ones, in box and coa.

And then to follow the stunning 3 coin set 1/2oz 1oz 2oz and also a special, very limited edition with the snakes in blue and pink.

I can identify with poor Asclepius because I was only able to afford one snake myself. Nonetheless, I'd dearly love to get one of those riotously aesthetically dysfunctional coins after the price comes back down to earth. Unfortunately, I'm stuck in the northeast US and unable to cruise the LCS's where they should be showing up in a while.
