Just been into Bundaberg.. The River is in minor flood at around 5m..Some of the boats that broke their moorings and were stranded high and dry, have now refloated which may be good news for the owners. For the first time today, I drove down some of the streets that were badly flooded by the record breaking flood some weeks back. When you hear and see on MSM is nothing like the reality of it all.. Houses completely gone, just the stumps left. Houses abounded, not just one but many. Others trying their best to bring their homes back to a liveable state whilst being surrounded by misery. The saddest cases I saw (4houses) that were undamaged by the floods but have tipped sideways into giant sink holes that appeared well after the floods have gone. These people must have thought that they have missed the floods fury only to see their homes which were really in good condition slide into these sink holes. First time I have ever seen anything like this. To see a house at 45 degrees slowly sinking into a huge crevice was a bit of a wake up call for me, a person who has seen many floods but none as brutal as this one. Lets hope that we don't get any heavy rain in the next 48 hours as we may well get another taste of the fury of mother nature. Regards Errol 43
Unfortunately there is a good chance that there could be a repeat in the near future as there is a developing system that at the moment has a 50/50 chance of going west onto the coast with a couple of models predicting landfall around the Bowen region after stalling off the coast for a while. If that happens most of the rain and wind action would be to the south of the landfall area. Hope it pisses of to the east and lets things dry out a bit.
So what's going on with the Esperance (WA) radar???? http://www.bom.gov.au/products/national_radar_sat.loop.shtml
Colin Andrews (among others, no doubt) certainly seems to think there's something fishy going on.. http://colinandrews.net/.search?results_page=&p=haarp&name=Search I noticed a similar pattern emanating from the Namoi (NSW) radar facility at about the time Oswald was 'doing his thing'... Coincidence??? maybe, maybe not...
Is just cloud seeding and weather modification techniques they are experimenting with. Nothing to worry about. sarcasm smiley.
