Hi guys, I have noticed that the NGC site: http://www.ngccoin.com/priceguide/c...hineseSetID=881&subcat=gold-panda-coin-prices makes a distinction between some years with a "D" after the year. For instance a "2001D gold panda 20 yuan ms" has a different listing to a "2001 gold panda 20 yuan ms". Is this in reference to the date on the coin being written if a different type set or something else? Cheers. Danny
Yeah, the "D" marked coins were produced only for domestic China and has a "D" on the left hand side of the coin.
They also have a Small D variety reconized by NGC which has an estimate of under 1000, micro date 1995 have estimate 4000 & is/was the most expensive silver panda.
A gold 2001D A Non-D Panda looks like this: [imgz=http://forums.silverstackers.com/uploads/675_2002ob.jpg][/imgz]
