when i was running a computer shop, i had a 30 day account, but i use to pay everything by cheque the next day.
i would place the order, wait for it to arrive, check it was all good, and then mail a cheque to them.
maybe if i was really busy it might be the day after. my supplier loved me, and kept telling me that i dont have to pay straight away, but i always told them, its easier this way, so they started giving me free stuff, like if i ordered 10 hard drives, they would send 12, etc it was happening all the time.

I know of a small tradie that wasn't paid for $400000 worth of work on one of the Gandel groups major shopping centres.

Eventually they got paid half that with a nice little "If you want any more, it will cost you in lawyers fees etc."
