I have to say, I'm starting to get excited about the silver price. I'm starting to look at all the old sites I used to purchase on, hell, even back at SilverStackers I'm not pulling the trigger yet, I'm looking at 27 (at least, probably lower) before I pull out the bank notes and start going heavy into the metal again.... but I feel my time is getting close. If it can get to $21... I'm putting my kids on ebay to finance more metal ;-) Cheers John
Ah! The guru has returned.. This fellow was 100% correct when the last bubble inflated when silver went to nearly $50oz.. Advised SS members to Sell before the smackdown. I will certainly take note of what he says. Glad to see you back! Regards Errol 43
^^^ ah so that's what he's famous for. Brave man making that call! Thankfully started stacking after the big drop and frequently see Stella being mentioned in threads with much reverence. Look forward to reading more insights
Hey thanks all for the warm reception Bullion Baron - yea I bought a fair whack about a year ago now, maybe longer.... I sold most of it a fair while later to finance other investments... I have a modest stack at the moment and wanting to increase and lately I've been feeling like silver is about to make a move down that mirrors the smackdown opportunity we saw during the GFC. If you remember back to when silver broke 21 for the first time, it never ever tested that break out. It went straight up. It always bothered me that it never tested that breakout and has always been a technical thorn in my side. Not to mention, if it can retrace to 21, then its about the same retracement level as during the GFC percentage wise. (from 21 to 9). I won't be waiting until it does (if it does) get that low, ill buy before that, but im not rushing in at 29 here either.... Cheeers John
BB, I thought he sold 1/3 of his stack when silver reach $25 in the latter part 2010, then sold a lot more/all the rest when silver went into the mid/high $40s in April, 2011. Then after silver first dropped down and then went back above $40, he bought back a lot of silver. Edit - The sale of 1/3 at $25 was a video that I watched. The other two actions were what I remember him or others posting here about what he did.
10% at $24 it was.... it was one of first major sales after buying around $10 I also sold small chunks from $38 to $45. Then at $48 sold everything I had left (a few thousands ounces at that stage) except a core position of a few hundred ounces that I never will sell. All well documented.
oh and never bought silver over $40... bought around $29, $31, $33 but dont have much of that left.... I didnt really make a profit on that stuff either - after spreads, I would have lost on it.
Did you sell what you bought 6 months ago John? Welcome back. Looking forward to your views if your willing to share with us. Hope your new venture is doing well for you.
