can anyone identify 1977 royal visit medal?

    it weighs 29.33gm
    is 40mm and 4 mm deep with a deep strike (i think its called high relief)
    anyway any idea as to history, value, metal type etc would be appriciated

    Go to your local library and checkout a book called Australian Historical Medals 1788-1988 by Leslie J Carlisle. This is considered THE reference for Australian medals. If there's any info on this medal, it'll be in the book.

    Yes I had one of these and sold it, it's a commemorative medallion 100 minted by amos,
    I sold it for silver value plus $10 for its original blue and red box
