I'll see if I can find it and send it on. But if I get a copyright infringement notice... Edit: Looks like I can be the unofficial distributor for this until Haveblue returns. PM your email address and I'll send them along.
Yo House...you stealing my thunder??!!! ...Haven't been on in a awhile because I thought I might take a break, been getting nailed by requests for the sheet....you wouldn't have anything to do with that would you house?? This thing has gone global! What do you guys suggest for V4??? I'd love some feedback Cheers, HB.
Hi mate, First thanks heaps for the log - it's super duper awesome. What I would love to have on the V4 would be the AUD & USD spot price pulled directly from the net based on the purchase date. Would make it a lot easier too when completing the form after the fact. I don't know how doable that would be? Thanks heaps for that anyway, it's really the best tool for tracking our stacks. Cheers
I was thinking along the lines of something similar using the GSR as well. Possibly using the "What IF" function in excel to help guage your level of risk according to various scenarios. Cheers markcoinoz
I'm actually thinking about doing this, combining the 2 sheets...but not everybody as both gold and silver. Now are you talking about your GSR or the GSR in general? Either way that's an easy one to put in, I'll add it to the list for V4....I could even put both of them in.
Hmmm this should be "doable"....I'll have to look into it further for v4. Surely there is a website that has this data somewhere I would like to see a drop down table where you can pick your currency in v4, that's my add to the list haha
My thoughts were that you could see the GSR of the day when you made each purchase (on each line). But yeah, the summary page could be great to see your total GSR and current GSR too. RE: those that don't have both, surely they could just leave the page blank? Down the bottom you could have a gold page, silver page and the PM prices and the summary page. Or potentially on each line you could just state gold/silver? Don't know how hard that would be with all the other calculations though..
We found this the other day - only gold though. http://www.perthmint.com.au/investment_invest_in_gold_precious_metal_prices.aspx
haveblue --- not sure if you have incorporated it, but dollars are great, but ever thought of incorporating a column that compares the value of the metal when purchased and what the dollar value of the metal could buy (purchasing power) with purchasing power of those dollars today/at time of sale? Someone else made a huge spreadsheet with this information -- but it was just comparing purchasing power from one year to the next (not sure if you could add in your silver holdings, the buy and sell values etc.) It's great if you buy silver for $20 in year x and sell silver in year y for $40, but if something catastrophic happens in between and $40 in year y buys the same amount of goods in year x, you're only treading water. Thoughts?
G'day mate, yep looked into this one as well...ie time based calculations. There are so many variables thou to take into account, inflation being the biggest one, and the "value" of the dollar being the another. I'll have a play around with my financial calculator to see if it. An provide any clues as to how to come up with the formulas....that and google. But I like the idea and have considered putting it in, if work ever slows down I might actually get a chance to do it!
