    G'day there,

I'm new to this but have learned a lot in the last few years. I come from a poor-ish family (in the sense that everyone works for their money and spends that money on useless crap and never gets anywhere), so i have taken it upon myself to educate myself about the financial world. So far i feel like i just poked my head into the rabbit hole and can't fathom how deep this bitch is.
On one hand this makes me happy because i'm starting to understand more about how to secure my own future, rather than relying on the system to support me. On the other hand it makes me depressed that there are so many people out there that have no idea they've had the Fiat fleece pulled over their eyes for years.
They know they're being duped somehow but try as they might, just can't figure out what is going on and how they are being screwed. Most of my friends believe tax is their biggest financial gripe.

I've always felt that something isn't quite right with this paper system, but didn't know enough about it to pinpoint the problem. I can feel a storm brewing, i can hear the distant thunder of destructive economic distress. Try as they might, the Govt. can't stop the wind, rain and lightning coming in. About a year ago a mate of mine sat me down and showed me the video "end of the road". A light bulb came on. I realised the problem with the fiat was that no matter how much paper money i had in my hands, i would never have anything tangible if the economic shit, hit the fan.

Gold is the answer, or is it? I chose to start with silver due to it's many industrial uses and relative short supply, compared to gold worldwide (so i'm led to believe). I thought about it for a long time and thought, stuff it, it's time to act.

So here they are- 1Kg Perth Mint bar, bought from Ainslie. 1 500gm Ainslie and 2x 10oz bars.

The 2 10oz look fantastic. I love the pattern around the edge, although the others are somewhat ugly. Even the Perth Mint bar.

My reason for stacking is to somewhat secure my savings. I've accumulated this over the last few months and can't wait to grab some more.

    Cheers, Ash.

Great way to start off the stack- nice and simple with the lowest premium. The real challenge is to stay on that track!

A good time to start .....If you are really fortunate there might be one more mini crash left in the beast and if so....sell everything ( not the silver...t.v., stereo, bed, etc ) and buy as much as you can because we are closer to the end ( an economic wipeout of sorts ) than we have ever been. So many have bought during " The Great Consolidation Period " ...( this is how they will describe these years in the future when the silver boom is analysed in depth ) but it is getting close to the turning of the tide....bugger all fish were caught on that outgoing tide...but soon the boats will overflow...wooo hooo..

Noooo. No more red pills. Had a bad experience with a red pill :D haha. I don't think i took the pill, more like i was born in the real world. I've always seen the system for what it is, just now i'm learning ways to get ahead of it. I hope.

But seriously, thanks to everyone for the welcome.

My mate who showed me the end of the road vid, has stacked about 20-25kg so far. Unfortunately he bought most of his around a $40 peak . I'm not so much looking to gain capital out of this, i'm just redeeming my I.O.U's, any capital at the end is a bonus. The goal is to accumulate a stack that we can trade for a house. Screw a 30 year mortgage, if i stay on track, i can pay for a house and block of land big enough to grow our own food, in about half that time.

So far, Ainslie have been good to deal with. The bars aren't as polished or perfect as i expected though. Also, if you're going to buy from them, take cash. The 1% card charge (1% for cheque and savings, 1.5% for credit) is a killer. Just adds to the premium.

My fiance' and i have been fortunate enough to land in a situation where we don't pay rent, only have to cover the bills on her mum's house. This and the fact that i'm now directing my beer/pocket money towards our stack, should see it grow quite quickly.

I do have more cash savings, but with a baby due tomorrow i may need a bit of coin in the bank haha.
