It was a good day of stacking today. I acquired a whole bag full of Cuban Silver coins from the early 1900's. Included with the Cuban Coins was a Spanish Coin from 1893 marked "una peseta." As well as a large silver coin from Bermuda (1964).

These coins were given to me by my great aunt and I'm surprised at how great the condition is of these coins especially for just being stashed away. It appears her late husband also collected coins (I can't believe I never knew this as a child) and he had a huge collection of coins mainly from Spain, Cuba, and the US.

I had been given the American Collection a few months ago which included numerous Morgan Dollars, walking liberties, Barber halves, quarters, and dimes....etc (nice array), but my aunt just found these day.

These are not for investment purposes as I assured her that I would keep these and pass them on to my kids.

Great. Enjoy them. I bought a silver piece of eight recently, and then reading about them has been interesting.

Nice pickup! The silver must have had a great historical and sentimental value to your family member.

Absolutely, this is obviously a family collection. It's nothing phenomenal but it's something that I'll keep forever. The coins are in pretty decent condition for their age. I'm pretty impressed just looking at them.

Nope, unfortunately not. I'm new to the forum world again. I'm just now building up my proficiency. I know most times you have to use a third party to post pictures and I'm not in the mood for going through all of that lol. I'll happily send an email with it if you send me a PM.

Well this was surprisingly easy compared to the old days. Here is a sample.

The coins that resemble American dimes are Cuban, the two quarter size on the bottom left are also cuban. The white one with a child's head at the bottom is Spanish. The one next to it is Venezuelan. Finally, the one at the top which is harder to see is from Bermuda.

These were part of the earlier score prior to the discovery of the Cuban coins. I personally like this score much better.
