Translation: Greetings Anglo-American brothers! In the holiday spirit I would like to share some useful tips for beginners with you! Before I begin let me say that even though I make speak very bluntly it is not my intention to be patronising. 1) If you have a question - ask! This forum has nearly 6000 friendly members, many of whom have been in the game a long time. Don't be shy! Information is a just a question away! 2) Graphs and charts are a great source of unbiased information that you should take advantage of. Start by looking on Google. 3) Patience is a virtue! If you are trading precious metals you will need plenty of it, as well as nerves of steel. This is not for a faint hearted! 4) Not sure when to buy and when to sell? See point 2 for that. Learning some basic technical analysis will serve you well. 5) As with all investments, always keep some cash on hand in case of emergency. The last thing you want is to be forced to sell due to unforeseen circumstances. 6) Even though this forum has many wise members, none of them have a crystal ball. No one on earth can tell you the exact market top and bottom so save your breath and don't ask. Instead, learn to make your own predictions using charts. 7) Following on from point 6, all of us here do make mistakes from time to time. As such, the opinions of the members should be taken only as opinion, not infallible financial advice. Don't hate on someone because they got it wrong, you are solely responsible for your own actions.
Have any of you people making the snide remarks considered how hurtful they might be to the poster if the OP was written in good faith with no ulterior motives? A little kindness wouldn't go astray here guys, especially since it's supposedly the season for it.
Absolutely. I've taken a few hours out of my life to encourage and support this person, who apparently doesn't wish to change anything. Not only is that frustrating for members' who see pages of inane posting, but its doubly so for myself and a number of the other posters who have attempted to help this poster by giving their time and effort to steer them towards the correct manner in posting. It's not rocket science really, and to be honest, there's only so far you can go with the 'be supportive/kind/helpful' attitude until you see that your being completely ignored. I'm not saying release the hounds, but it's got a lot of people's backs up.
