Hey nice one - i like these bricks better than the machined to perfection bars. That looks great.

Yes that's a new Scottsdale bar, it's a low premium bar but not their stacker replacement. It's a regular minted bar.

Awww, i liked those southern cross bars and was looking forward to eventually being able to get me a silverstacker bar.
On the other hand i wonder if this will raise the value of the 1 kilo southern cross stacker i bought a while back.

I've been interested in acquiring some kilo stacker bars for a while now. something reassuring about having them stack nicely in your safe, sure will be nicer than my Ainslies or Perth Mints bars.

Interesting mentioning Scottsdale, their 'prey bars' aren't manufactured by Materion are they?

The new SBA SilverStackers bars are quite nice. :D

Hey GP, can you please tell me what the current mintage numbers are of the Silver Stacker bars?

Do they also make the "Southern Cross" Stacker Bars?
EDIT: Whoops....just realized that'd been answered!

I'd say there would be between 500 and 1000 in the wild.

I am trying to put a set of these beauties together and these are the variations that I have found so far.

    Academy - Academy hallmark
    Academy - Materion hallmark (small)
    Academy - Blank
    Apmex - Academy hallmark (small)
    Apmex - Academy hallmark (large)
    Apmex - Materion hallmark (small)
    Scottsdale - Materion hallmark (small)
    Scottsdale - Acamemy hallmark
Scottsdale - MFG by Scottsdale Mint + Serial Number
    Scottsdale - Serial Number
    Scottsdale - Blank
Southern Cross - Materion hallmark (small)
Southern Cross - Materion hallmark (large)
Silver Stackers - Materion hallmark (small)

Please if anyone has any of the Academy or Southwest Bullion Bars or anything different to what I have listed, let me know and I will add them to the list.

I am also wanting to buy/trade any of the Academy or Southwest Bullion stacker bars so if you have one PM me and we can talk :)

Thought I would give this thread a bump and ask the question if anyone has a Scottsdale or SilverStacker bar with a Large Materion hallmark?

I think the original Silver Stackers bars had the small Materion mark - I would have to fetch "the original" from storage to check.

Southern Cross had both large and small from memory.

Pretty sure that Scottsdale and APMEX would both have a large variant as well. The large predates the small.

I think I've got a few locked away (scottsdales that is) that are all the same (could be big or small) could you post a link or photos of the difference and if they are the ones you are after may be able to work out a trade deal :)

Ok here here are the Apmex stacker bar varieties, as with all the varieties it is only the hallmark on the back that is different.
What I have here is the common small Materion, and what I believe to be quite rare is an Academy hallmark. If you have anything different I would like to hear from you :)

And here are the Silver Stackers bar and the Scottsdale both with the small Materion hallmark, if you have a Large Materion in either of these, please contact me. I will be happy to swap a 10oz Dragon for it :)

I think some of my bars are the larger type.
