Swiss refinery marketing gold bar that can be easily broken into 1g chunks to be used as payment in a crisis

Swiss refinery Valcambi has been selling its CombiBar to private investors in Switzerland, Austria and Germany who are worried about a return of Weimar Republic-style hyperinflation.

    They are a real risk.

You heard it here on SilverStackers first!

Joking aside, those bars do look lovely, but the premium is ridiculous. Besides, they look like Caramacs - which I miss dearly...

I would love to get some more of those bars :D, but no one seem to sell single's :(, I would love to get some of those Platinum and Palladium bars as well never had those metal's, breaking up CombiBar's would be a great way for someone that can't afford a whole CombiBar which costs a crap load of $$

Nice post by the way :)

By my reckoning they're the cheapest 1g bars one the market.

Can't wait for my shipment of these to arrive! Yes, the premium is high compared to a regular 50gram bar, but not nearly as high as it would be if one were to buy all 50 1gr bars in individual assay cards.

Ha ha ha! Good point there!

I'd like to taste those as well!

Divisible bars always looked to me like chocolate. Otherwise any gold bar looks tasty - don't you drool at least a bit when seeing those juicy bullion bars?
(I'm thinking especially of those 12.5 kg bars!)
