I was hoping to get some opinion/advice from anyone who has bought anything online from Germany before.

In particular, there is this company:

    http://www.ma-shops.com/?lang=en

And, if I was to buy and import something that exceeded the $1000 GST threshold, even if it was 9999 pure gold, would it incur GST?

Just curious if anyone has any info they'd like to share, thank you :)

I have bought online from both Germany and sites like ma-shops and Vcoins before without any problems.
These sites are like a central listing sites for a lot of different dealers, and I have noticed the listings are often cheaper if you purchase the same item direct from their online-store if possible.

After contacting the dealer directly, good communication has often avoided import duties for me by agreeing to a "more favourable" item description and value on the postal forms. :D

    Hello :)

The item I am interested in is this:
    http://www.ma-shops.com/won/item.php5?id=118&lang=en&curr=EUR

Also I am not sure about the payment method: They only accept 'Wire Transfer'.

I guess there is no real alternative available though, if I was selling internationally I'd probably ask the same.
