Just recently I purchased from Coles, a roll on Silver Product,'Nivea'. It cost around $6. It claims to fight body odour and fights bacteria.

Well I don't know if the body odour claim is correct but I can vouch for the healing properties. Cuts heal up fast but the most amazing thing is the way it can stop itching.

I live in a forested area and amongst the leaves , I often come across grubs that can cause a severe itch. The other day, my arm started to react after such an encounter, on with the silver roll on and presto, it was no longer itchy and within an hour the red weals were nowhere to be seen.

I will be interested to hear if any other SS members use this roll on or something silver to treat sores, bites and itches.

Ah you can't beat Silver for health and wealth! :D

    Regards Errol 43

PS. It will last A LONG TIME too I reckon.

    I hope your ready to pay $12 a bottle + inflation soon e43 :)

I'll check it out at Woolies next time.

I use some phys in my water filter top and bottom and it keeps the water clear, which means I clean it less often.

Has been proved so I am told that bed mattresses with silver thread in them will keep dust mites away they cannot live with silver. Soldiers socks are being made with some silver thread to stop foot infection and fungal problems when wet.

i have shocking dust mite allergy.. i might spread my stack out over my bed and start sleeping on it :p
and with the socks. these bamboo socks are what i use. they are antibacterial, i know it sounds a bit wrong, but if you take them off and air them out every night, you can get away without washing them for a whole week without them smelling!! :p

I have seen band aids with silver in them for their anti bacterial properties. Might rub some PM on my next cut?

Wow. I grew out of Lynx at 14 years old!!!!

Arm burning stench you usually associate with teenagers masking their horrendous Billy Orange. :)

This silver roll-on sounds intriguing errol - gonna have to get some!

There was discussion of having silver threads in the sheets and pajamas in hospitals. The savings from not having to treat MRSA would outweigh the cost of the bedding.

I never heard anything more of it though. I guess it is easier to throw antibiotics at people.

Will have to try the nivea product, can you send me some itchy grubs to try?
