IMHO this is a large date and not a microdate. What do you guys think? http://www.ngccoin.com/certlookup/CertResults.aspx?CertNumber=3049634-039
There are 3 varieties. Large Twig Large Date Short Twig Small Date Short Twig Micro Date That coin is a Short Twig Small Date. The micro date has a smaller date stamp. The Short Twig Small Date is similar in size to the Large Date but the font is slightly different.
Small Twig , Large Date in NGC nomenclature Small Twig, Small Date(ie not micro date) in PCGS nomenclature
A few inquires coming in about one of the most coveted Pandas in the 1oz bullion series. Must be some auction/deal coming up The elusive, and highly prized (and priced) 1995 Micro date. If the number "1" fits within the line, "bingo!", you're looking at the MicroDate. There are a few mislabeled NGC labels, whereby Pandas that are labelled 1995 CHINA PANDA SMALL TWIG SMALL DATE (aka MicroDate) are actually 1995 CHINA PANDA SMALL TWIG LARGE DATE. I personally prefer the designation MicroDate, as it clearly distinguishes between the three varieties. Hopefully this helps
