I was looking to buy some american half dollars. 3 make 1oz of silver.

My question was, are they easy to move come selling time or are you better off buying florins or 1966 round 50's?

I know they're popular in america but how about here? What would you be buying/selling them at? Cheerss

i personally love them more than the australian coins. I find them that people on ebay buy them up all the time no matter the year.

I have a stack of the Eisenhower halves from the early 70's. Find no problem in moving them along :)

My personal opinion is the American junk coins are about the best junk coins you can get. I would stick to the 90% stuff though and forget the 40% halves. I bought a good bunch a long time ago and love 'em, I haven't tried to sell them yet so not sure how they would go but don't think there would be any problem selling them on eBay. Probably not as liquid as the round 50's but would probably be on par with Aussie Pre.

I do not like selling on eBay so come selling time they will be put here, anyone here had trouble selling them? I most admit the design is very nice but don't want to be stuck with them

Yeah sorry, the Eisenhowers are dollars not halves. You can get them in UNC or Proof for pretty much spot.

I live in Texas, so I come across them often. I can normally pick up the halfs around $10.50-$13.50 per coin depending on spot price. I normally get them for spot price. I never had a problem selling them for a little profit. I have been keeping them all recently.

I collect 64' Kennedy's and never had a problem selling them. If you are going through local dealer ask him / her about their buy back policy.
