* Very little interest in silver bars in the Buy, Sell & Swap section - crickets chirping. * General decrease in forum participation & apathy. * Chart looking very exciting. - that makes me a silver investor again!
It's been a difficult year for many. Cost of living has risen substantially over the last year and I think being in an 18 month pullback on Silver has given a lot of people who came in at the top the jitters.
there are people in the FS section that are dreaming as well. Some people there right now have 10oz bars priced HIGHER than I can buy them for from the perth mint why anyone in their right mind would take all the risks associated at buying something off an anonomyus forum and pay MORE than they can get it from the actual mint that makes it is truly beyond me. ( which is probably why the crickets are chirping in their thread)
+1 Perth have much cheaper 10 oz bars but their coin prices can't be matched by some of our site sponsors. H
an 18 month pull back on silver? pull back from what? one day when it was close to $50oz? that was just manipulation to get the big boys, like bill gates to sell up and never come back. buying silver now is kinda like waiting for lightning to strike again at the same place. btw where are all those that maxed out credit cards? I guess busting a gut to keep up with 20% interest for the over priced silver they bought.
Actually overall visits to the forum and unique visitors to the forum in September and October have been the highest month-on-month this year. October had more unique visitors than any other month in the forum's history.
That's interesting GP - I'd be pretty sure the number of posts had decreased significantly though. There is no 'buzz' feeling at all with the forum presently.
As for selling stuff on the forum, your prices have to be LOWER than the recognized online bullion dealers. Many adverts are the same or higher ! As for numismatic type coins, they are fickle things and you cant expect to sell within a day or two of listing. I find for bullion & bullion coins, selling in this forum is usually pretty good. For numismatics, ebay is the place for them.
See this quite a bit. In defence of some private sales, there's no ID requirements etc which suits some people, but prices do need to be realistic. It's also common to see wanted ads for items with the offer prices below wholesale costs. Always comes down to doing your due diligence, most people on this website are adults (at least legally ).
In actual fact lightning generally strikes specific geographical locations for a reason and is more than likely to strike in that same spot again for that same geographical reason than any other. This is why we use lightning rods. Places like the Empire State Building and Sears Tower are struck by lightning thousands of times each year.
I'd be interested to have a chat to anyone on the forum who sold the vast majority of their stack in the silver mania last year, and have now either re-purchased, or looking at re-purchasing... send me a pm if that sounds like you.
I was thinking that there had been a lot of sales going on here lately. Some good stuff too but need to save for electricity more them PMs atm unfortunately.

Is that because there is perceived risk in buying off this forum? Have there ever been any clear cases of fraud on SS? I mean seller taking funds then disappearing?
