Does anybody know how much the usual premium for 10oz Engelhard bars are, as I see some bars going for really big amounts.

As I picked up some Engelhard 10oz bars.

A pic of just one of each would have sufficed :p

I've bought some of the top ones with a P serial for spot + 20-30%.

Check APMEX for a guide and you can easily add a bit more for Aus but pricewise maybe try $420+ to test the market.

Yeah... Spot + 25% would be a reasonable guide.
That's about what I paid for mine.
imho: They're something that would pull bigger $$ on (fe)eBay than here.
I've seen them go for upwards of $480 on there regardless of spot!

Nice set o' bars you have there! I had no idea 10oz bars had such steep premiums. Are smaller bars a lesser percentage, 15% for 1oz and 2oz maybe?

It's because that the Engelhard company is one of the most well known brand of silver bars as they have been making bars for a long time and since they have been sold off to another company, they stopped producing bars so whatever that is left has become collectible especially in the US and Europe.

Use APMEX as a pricing guide - the 10oz even in poured would be the second most common size around after 1oz minted bars.

I'd be pretty jealous if you could sell these for more than the flat 10oz PM bars I auctioned on here last week, but the collector market is fickle :)

I'm a fan of the flat bars, did you order them online if you don't mind my asking?

I thought silver is silver but lately members are paying huge premiums for bar like this and old bars....and all those stuff what would usually attract premium does not sell at all...try to figure out a stackers mind:)

    Couldn't agree more!
I'm shocked at the insanely high prices people are paying for them.
I mean it's fantastic for the sellers & I applaud them for taking the proverbial bull by the horns while the bulls fighting but....WOW!
It can't last though, as with all bubbles, it'll burst.
Probably when people realize that these bars aren't all that rare, rather they don't come up for sale often.

Hmm I'll be playing no part in this. Cheap Silver FTW:)

My premium will come in the future if Silver hits $100oz and I'll be able to sell even the most unloved low premium silver for $110-$115oz no problem.
