I would be interested in coordinating a buy of 100 bags if we have enough interest. But they charge a few dollars S&H I think and then I'd have to ship it out which might negate any benefits. All up it'd be around 10-20 cents extra per bag if I bought 100 and shipping it out at $6.50 (assuming 10 bags < 500g). Quick check on aus post website says $1593.00 + $2.95 for registered for 100 x 3kg bags. I would then charge $6.50 to post out so that's 2.95 cents + 6.5 cents per bag extra if we did a group buy. Still cheaper than buying only 10. Cost of buying 10 from Auspost website = $17.11 per bag. Cost of buying 10 from a group buy of 100 + $6.50 shipping from me = $16.6095 per bag. Now I just need to figure out if 10 plat bags weigh under 500g.
two sizes would need to group buys 100 x 500g 100 x 3kg I would take 10 of each minimum and can help with the purchase FB
Heh lets see. 100 x 3kg Platinum Bags = $1593.00 100 x 500g Platinum Bags = $1206.00 + $2.95 Shipping & Handling from Australia Post online (retail stores won't have this many bags for sale). Total: $2801.95 Just in case it goes over 500g, my cheapest shipping rate will be $10.35 for up to 3kg including tracking and signature (good before April price hike). Might be $6.50 if the bags weigh below 500g. Thus the cost of - 10 x 3kg bags: $159.3 + $0.15 + $10.35 = $169.68 (Current price of single satchel is $17.70) - 10 x 500g bags: $120.6 + $0.15 + $10.35 = $130.98 (Current price of single satchel is $13.40) If you buy 10 of each: $159.3 + $120.6 + $0.30 + $10.35 = $290.55 Seems like it's do-able, anybody else interested?
mad @ Australia Post i sent 2 registered articles last week, both of them show 'no events found' on the tracking website. one of them has already been confirmed as delivered... the other i can only assume until i hear back from the receiver so anyway i went looking on the austpost faq page 'Can I track an article sent using Registered Post?' the answer: "No. Scanning of Registered Post articles is not mandatory, therefore Registered Post is not a tracked service. However, in the event that any scans are captured during the delivery process, they will be displayed on our tracking website. Registered Post offers additional security by including proof of posting, a signature obtained on delivery and insurance cover of up to $100. If you require notification of delivery, the best way to do this is by purchasing the Delivery Confirmation service with your Registered Post article." all this time i thought i was paying for a tracked service ffs comparatively, with the ebay prepaid satchels the tracking included seems reliable
Used Fishball's Click and Send guide for the first time this week. Saves time for sellers (no need to go to PO). Saves money for sellers (cheap postage but still with tracking and signature). Awesome
Anyone know what the status NOT COMPLIANT means in when displayed in your tracking summary ? Plat/post .
It means your target address is outside of the platinum express 'guaranteed next day' area. It happens when you post to remote areas of QLD and WA for example.
That would it explain it then, thanks FB edited to update Must of been the issue as status has changed to Accepted at facility and onboard with driver Thanks for the info!
The scanning of registered items depends on the individual post office. Of the three POs that i use only the one in Newcastle does it everytime. The other two refuse (b@stards). I have complained and argued but it is of no use so it seems. They just claim that they are too busy - yeah right, it take 10 secs. Edit - just checked date of this post - sorry responded to old post.
Hey jacka** . . knock it off . . . we don't want your jerseys and you will be banned . .so stop making me have to chase you down. Delete me.
With Click and send, when putting in business and customer information on their website, how secure is the info? Who keeps the info? Putting info into a 3rd party data base concerns me, are my concerns unwarranted?
