May have been a staged event... like a Don King boxing match...or an NRL game :/

Romney is 'telegraphing' his moves too early. First he told everyone he wasn't going to keep the Bernank as head of the fed. Then (in the debate) he tells Jim Lehrer if elected he isn't going to continue with funding the Public Broadcaster PBS... even though he loves Big Bird. :p

The elephant in the room is defence/military spending...and neither of them are talking about the nations biggest area for discretionary spending. It's clearly a government afraid of it's own military.

Yes I watched it. Romney definitely won the debate with very energised debating as opposed to a very lack lustre unprepared defensive Obama, but analysis afterwards indicates that Romney made many backflips on what he had previously stated. Romney went into it as the underdog and had to do well in this first debate as it was the most critical one, anyway it looks like he pulled it off. This debate was on economy, no mention of foreign policy yet.

And so it should be... the USA is destined to become a military state... by name or nature... sooner or later... only a matter of time... and don't forget that 50 military states are the United States of America.
