    Hello,

I am starting collecting Silver Kookaburras with Privy marks.
Anyone has an idea where can I get a complete list of all Kookaburras with privy marks
    that was ever issued?

So far I know of European Countries Privy marks (I think 15 of them)
European currency privy set (also, I think 15)
US State quarter privy marks (1st five, 2nd five, 3rd five, but after that there are none...)
Then there are random other privy marks that I find on eBay...

I have tried contacting Perth Mint, but they say they don't keep that list and referred me to
some catalog (forgot what its called). I found it on Google books and when I looked at it,
some Privy marks were not there (like gold Panda privy, or Goya privy etc.)

So if anyone can help me or refer me to some source, I would be grateful.

    Thanks!

You need to purchase " Australian coin & banknotes catalog " by Greg McDonald .

gotta love PM's excellent service at least you got a reply better than i have got in the last 2 years seems the little people are not important any more.

if you sent the email in German or Russian you might have got an answer ?

Wow good luck. Should only take you 10 years or so I reckon.
In some of the busier years they issued more than 20 different privies (eg 1998, 1999)

Best list I've seen is the Greg McDonald catalog (as mentioned by Spanner).
You will want to get an older one rather than the latest.
The older catalogs have more comprehensive listings of all the kooks - I still prefer the 15th Ed myself (current is 19th).
Search for 'McDonald' in the coins section of ebay - plenty to choose from.

Why do you like privys? I avoid them like someone coughing in the supermarket.

I like privies because they add something unique to the coin.
Yes, I pay some premium for them, but if you consider the mintage quantity, I don't have any regrets.
It's like you may like just a regular car or gun or whatever.
I like it with a little extra...

    Cheers!

I would not mind a semi auto to go with the 5 bolt and 1 pump rifle currently in the safe :)

I say bring back semi autos ( or I could move to NZ)
