I am always curious if whether the feedback system would be improved by giving an indication by the size of the trade? I don't necessarily mean putting $ value...more like in S,M,L sizing? Because if I have 30 feedback on 1oz transaction, it can't be 'worth' the same with someone who has 10 feedback on 10oz transaction? I DO realise this bordering privacy issues, but sometimes I wonder if size of trade or accumulated trade would be a bonus indicator? Because if we do actually cross-check with the other party regarding the transaction, more likely someone has buzzed the lot. Do you think there is a need to improve the feedback system? Is there better way? Or this is allright and we don't fix it unless broken? WHat do you think?
One ounce is as valued as anothers 10 ounces. Size does not count it is how it has been conducted that counts. The only business that anyone needs to know is how you as a person conduct yourself.
You might feel a bit inadequate.. when you see someones low hanging sack .....full of metals of course
Definitely a good idea,Crims spend to much time trolling through peripheral trades. This would at least cut down their work load so they can spend more time with the family.
The only change I think we need is Any negs should be jumping out at you for the rest to see , maybe a % type thingy
no size ratings but selling and buying feedback split up might be good and in the feedback score in the main forum neg and pos should be separated
I agree that size of items bought and sold have no meaning to others who may look at your feedback. Probably comments are not really required either. The deal was good or bad, so just show that and who made the selection.
I think the original point was that say I have 5 different 1 ounce coins for sale, now if 5 different people buy the coins then there are 5 chances for feedback, pos or negative, if one person buys the lot in one transaction then there is only one chance for feedback hence the weighting system. Thats my take on it anyway maybe a rating per item system. but then I've never traded here so it doesnt really affect me yet.
And if all of those transactions are good with 1 or even 5 different sellers then shouldn't there be separate feedback to show this? Its a transaction feedback - Not a quantity rating If something passes to different hands then feedback is required 1/20th ounce or 1000oz irrelevent
I'm not sure if you are joking but i'll respond anyway. When would a neutral button be used? The apathetic wouldn't bother responding let alone selecting a neutral button. The system is fine. As long as the negatives can be seen and comments read then all is good.
I thought a postive and negitive number... percentages can be so misleading. basicly the look we have now but to the right of the negivie symbole have how many negitive trades.
Click on the persons "trades" tab and up the top of the page it shows for example [+6/-1] so what you want already exists. Under the members Avatar is the nett number of positive/negatives received. In this example it would show +5.
How do you give feedback if someone has not posted in a topic? or how do you get to their feedback(look at it) /or give it without finding a post by the person? I cant find this link, it may be somewhere. Maybe to be able to see it in the PM replys would be good. edit I also realise you can put their member number onto this link, but doing this manually is no quicker than finding the persons posts as you need to find the link somewhere anyway. http://forums.silverstackers.com/reputation.php?uid= Not something that i lose sleep over but just something i noticed.
Looks like I will have to blow my cover and show you all how little I know about IT. Question.. Is it true that you can't see you own trading + and -.... I have only made a couple of trades on behalf of my sons. No plus nor minus so I don't know if you blokes trust me. Will have to get a reference from Maggie. : ) Regards Errol 43
