I just made my first purchase today. I got in at 26.80 an ounce with the Maples selling for $1.99 over spot, and the Cougars at $2.69 over spot.

I hope I didn't make a mistake. I'm tired of getting .2% return on my savings account, so I took 20% out and bought silver.

I kind of hope it goes down to 24, then 22...so I can buy more. Then, I'll be adjusted in mid to low 20's, and sit on ~600 ounces for awhile.

I'm in Long...well, relatively. If it spikes to $38+ I'll sell.

Also, I noticed Cougars sell for around $7-10 more than spot on Ebay. Even with fees, I should be ok as long as Silver doesnt dip too much.

    But, again...I'm in long.

Any thoughts? I don't have buyers remorse yet....but, it's only been 30 minutes.

    Marty

    Great forum by the way.

sounds good either way, nice stack of silver too!
like you said, ebay is always there and you'd probably turn a + profit even if you were to sell on there right now (though not much, but probably more than your current rate of return:rolleyes:)

I know, right? I earned $1.27 in one month on 30k savings.

I could sell each cougar for roughly $35-38 right now with current price, on ebay. Sure, fees and shipping/insurance will eat most, but can probably still profit $1 a coin.

Sorry pressed thanked button by accident lol!

    I was meaning to reply...

Where can you get cougars for $29.49? And maples for $28.79? Was it a dealer or person?!

    Thats a great price!

And congrats on starting your stuck... good time to be buying into silver when its nice and low!:) I dont think youve made a mistake. Even if silver does go down, its bound to go up again sooner or later.

Already jealous having paid much more last year when silver was nearer its peak. At that time I didn't expect such a huge drop based on all the forum experts that no longer seem to be posting on this site. Maybe they are in hiding or hanging at the end of a rope ? Waiting on the rise now but it might be a very long wait. Moving to gold now but little fiat left to spend for a while and would be selling silver at a loss as we are screwed in the UK buying with our 20% VAT tax.

thanks! If it goes down to $23-$20, I'll buy another 200+ coins, and be locked in.

I'm assuming fiat is paper money? well, I bought into a natural gas company at 4.22 a share, and sold it at $1.19...it has since done a reverse split, and is less than $.25, which would have been 2.5 cents a share. So, investing in metal...in which I can hold and feel...and a price I'm fairly comfortable with, seems much more reasonable.
