    Guys,

What kind of silver bullion bars would you buy? Specifically I am interested in finding out how PAMP bars compare with Perth Mint.

    1) Which one would you buy and why? Does it really matter?
    2) When the time is right to sell, which one (PAMP or Perth) will be easier to sell and why?
    3) Also, when selling, which one will be easier to sell to an overseas buyer? To an Australian buyer?

P.S. Great community here, as a new member, all I can say is you guys rock. This forum is a great source of information.

    Thanks in advance!

i like PAMP bars, they're much prettier :)

but yea, because it comes with a certificate... if you lose the certificate you may also lose some $$ when you go to sell the bar.

... anyone who will pay you less without the certificate is just shafting you in my opinion.

I wonder if we should offer certificates as a separate item at $5 each. Any takers?

Aren't they already doing that over in the Panda zombie zone, framed certificate as a safe person to buy from, if you buy from me!

it is called the Panda Certification Specialist = only selling Certificates and boxes...the sky high prices...

question to ask is are they re-printed or re-minted

for pamp cert, can anyone custom made they according to the number on the bar? :)

    Well they both have advantages.

Perth mint because there's no certificate and so you dont get people asking 'Do they come with COA?' when you sell, and if your answer is no you would then be expected to drop the price....!

PAMP because they are a more sofisticated and elegant company (look them up) and their products tend to attract premiums over other silver types (just look up pamp product prices).

Personally, I think perth mint bars look like someone has dropped them on concrete surfaces a hundred times and then just tossed them onto a mound of more generic, plain PM bars. Its a slob of silver and nothing else, whereas pamp bars actually kinda have an attractive look to them! More soft on the eye!

I have one 10oz PM bar and when i got it i was appalled!! I was like 'has this thing been passed on through like 10 generations or something, or did the dealer just give me a shabby second hand one which he dropped on the floor? Then I found out alas, it was not the case! They are ALL shabby! And thus dealer was saved from my wrath!! lol :D

If the prices are the same, I would go PAMP. If PM is a lot cheaper, like at least $20/bar cheaper, then I MIGHT consider a dreaded PM again... I would just hide it in a very dark place so I didnt have to look at it again until it was selling time

    100+ for PAMP.

    PAMP (silver/gold) highly recognised worldwide.

I agreed with lynsilverbullion. I bought my first PM bar last year and the bar is not that appealing to me. So I flicked It back to the market. Nevertheless, PM bars look sexierthan Ainslie bar I have seen in this forum :p
