Nice one Thor, when/if I win the lottery I'm using graded 5oz Pandas as place mats/coasters for coffee mugs. I'm thinking of sending mine to PCGS in Paris for grading (I'm in the Uk, so shipping to America & back again, and then dealing with reclaiming VAT etc will be a pain)

And like you I'm confused as to what variety I own (Sorry if this appears to hijack your thread, but I didn't want to start yet another Singapore 5oz thread :) )

Looking at the Pics in this months Pricepedia I think it's a die2, but it has 6 tufts of hair on the ear, rather than 5 (or am I looking at the wrong Panda and/or ear). Can anyone help me out on this please?

Need a better picture of upper Panda's right ear (left ear when you are looking at the coin).

I have not been following this type at all, but just by looking at the Panda's RHS ear (LHS when facing) if you took the first and last tuft of hair. Then counted the tufts in between you clearly see a variety. Now as to which is which die etc... sorry can not help with that ?

It is clear that this is the 5oz Panda 'rectal exam' variation.

    (Sorry, couldn't help myself :p )
