http://www.huffingtonpost.com/2012/06/05/pawn-stars-200-pounds-of-silver-video_n_1570240.html "More than 10 years ago, a man bought 200 pounds of silver. But that was during a different economy. With the current state of the world, the price of silver has gone way up, leading the man to bring his haul in to the guys at Pawn Stars (History Channel)." x
hehe they round 'up' the offer because they knew of the sizable score! How many pawn dealer over pay? Tip - if the dealer round's up in your favour, your already being ripped off to kingdom come
If you watch the full episode, Rick drills into the big bar to make sure there is no lead in the middle. Clearly he hasn't seen GP's video http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=tVjRSye8z-c
The bloke sold way too early  Though I give him credit for buying early too. The pawnstar guys will just sell it I reckon. .. I wonder how much of the show is staged?
It's worth watching the whole episode, the old guy is hilarious in the last 3 mins of the show "Dam Rick we don't sell Silver, Specialty coins are one thing, but were not supposed to sell our real Silver" Link to full video below; it's free so it will have ads; http://www.history.com/shows/pawn-stars/videos/pawn-stars-silver-linings#pawn-stars-silver-linings
I assume a lot of the show is staged as honestly I can't imagine a pawn shop buying a lot of the obscure weird items which appear. Most of the show is on these unique collectables which are not very liquid, it is very interesting though as the history behind each item is explained.
