Gold medalian, 14 or 18k?

    You can't tell from a pic ,any markings/stamps on it

    Nothing like that, any DIY things i can do to test it? Vinegar,etc?

    There is no way of testing gold for purity without a XRF machine ,acid is destructive & not very accurate unless you have been using it for many years .
    Run a magnet over it ,that will only tell you if it is gold ,maybe
    Dependanig on the alloys used

    just do the acid test gosh it ain't that destructive... rub a little on stone
    we are talking micro stuff
    and its accurate enough to tell u if you have minimum 14kt or 18kt
    .

    LOL, i thought something odd and acidic might work. The magnet did not stick, so thats good :)

    Just make sure you google search 'Acid Test' before trying to use car batteries ;)

    There are Acid Test Kits available to buy from jewellery supply stores

    I probably wouldn't want to acid test that...anywhere... or let anyone else acid test it.

    you dont stick fkn acid on the article gosh that DIGGIN middle ages stuff :|
    you DIG a wee bit off the insignificant area of medal such as DIGGIN bail or loop
