Due to economic hardship, I have decided the time has come to part with the bulk of my silver collection, so here it is.
I've decided to list this .999 PURE silver bar on Ebay and I need some help as to the actual value. This amazing piece has been in my family for weeks, and it will be heartbreaking to see it go. I have taken this to the local jeweller and was told it MAY be worth anything up to 90 cents. I don't want to get my hopes up, but I don't want to get ripped off either.

pity you have to sell now... If you waited till silver went back to $40 you could get $1.30 for it

It's not wire, it's hand made carpet that I get cheap from the Pensioners art and craft store. I believe it's made by the old dears using a time honored method gluing and weaving, from a combination blend of hair and whiskers salvaged from the bin behind the local barber shop. God bless old coots, I support them when I can.

Wow, what a most beautiful piece. In all honesty, I simply could not remove my eyes from its lustrous beauty!!!

The way it shines, beams right into my very soul. The way it sparkles gives me goosebumps.

I know you hate to see such an item go. I would highly recommend you fly out an expert appraiser from Beverly Hills to determine the condition of the piece. Something so refined must be treated as art from Van Gogh or Picasso. Something so magnificent, can only be sold by a major NY auction house.
