    Morning all,

apologies - this has more than likely been asked before and done to death.

Can anyone give me an executive summary on why Engelhard bullion is so desirable please?

If anyone helpfully suggests to search the previous posts -- would they be so kind as to provide a link - every time I search I find it very difficult. :D

    tia all

    have a great day ;)

Because the secondary market has taken a liking to them and as such, demand has outstripped supply at bullion level prices, hence the upwards price adjustment to pricing equilibrium where buyers and sellers happily agree on price level.

Engelhard bars are no longer produced. That helps with popularity. They were also produced over many years in many styles. Most types have unique serial numbers. That helps with collectability.

Odd sized older poured bars are quite scarce and are attracing more specialist collectors. Think of them as bullion based numismatic pieces.

Lastly they can be seriously

Have several ameriocan prospector rounds but no bars. Would be nice to get an old poured engelhard bar but only if the price was right.

Engelhard Australia bullion is very popular with collectors but very difficult to find in North America.

The 5 oz that sold for $386 on Ebay was one such bar.

Seems to be much like those coins that make up that Mongolian menagerie.
