First man in space: 1oz coin

    G'Day Stackers...

    Usually I buy larger coins, coin lots and bars. However, today, I discovered a single coin for sale locally which I thought was a bargain, I went and bought it.

    It was the 1961 first man in space 1oz coin (2008) in the box with certificate etc.

    Has anyone else got this coin? How much was it for sale at Perth mint - it isnt on the website now?

    It is part of a five coin series of Orbital coins in which the outer rim of the coin rotates around a center "Earth".

    2007 Sputnik
    2008 First Man in space
    2009 First Space Walk
    2009 First Man on the Moon
    2010 First Space Shuttle

    Each coin has a mintage of 25,000.
