Passed by cc while I was going to jb, saw 2oz rabbits, tigers and kooks. Thought to myself that it was probably going to be a good buy as it was a second hand store after all, each 2oz was priced AUD 199. Was just gobsmacked, makes you wonder if they know what they are selling, that's why I don't look at cc anymore as its usually overpriced especially the electronics as compared to retail.

I like to pop in to them occasionally & tell them how much of a rip of they are & than just leave
You can haggle with them
I would have offered them spot for the lot :p
I saw a 10gm Credit Suisse bar in a pendant ,the local Crimeconverts had $1100 on it
I pulled out the Ipad & pulled up W.Davis site & offered them his sell price + $100 for the pendant :D

I've seen boxed masterpieces sets in there and they don't even get their prices from McDonalds or any of the other price guides or catalogues.

Just a really high price, even if you got $20 bucks off it still wouldn't be worth it.

you got it.... Their interest rate in South Australia is 240% pa ..... (So people who get a $2000 loan pay $4800 in interest in 1 year! ...) and thats WITHOUT paying anything off the capital!

Cash Converters business model is kick a man while he's down, then suck his blood from him while he knocked out.

i always find that the second hand stores or loan stores a few shops down from CC have way better starting prices an will haggle down a fair amount.

    God bless cash convertors!!!!
There are many bargains to be had but the gold and jewellery section are a 'No fly zone' as are their second hand tools and no i don't mean the valuers.

Picked up a 16 1oz silver 2000 Olympic coin set in jarrah case from my local CC's for $450 and sold it on ebay for $855. Also picked up a Fowlers Vacola Ultimate 4000 Dehydrator in its box for $25
and a made in Australia Sidchrome 3/8 Socket Set for $29 all just recently.

I have noticed in the last couple of weeks the 2 cc stores near me are always full of people. (Don't get me started on my local swap meet markets have to get up a extra hour earlier these days.)

Also if you want to buy any thing in CC's and paying cash always ask for 20 percent off, most of the time you will be lucky.
