After a second thought, yes thats right. 2000 1oz panda mirror fetch $400 (if I got this right) and maybe it is not surprising to see 1oz panda silver in xxxx year could cost few thousands. As expensive as the coin(s), according to WWF pandas must eat 12-38kg everyday to meet their energy needs.
You are not alone. I sometimes cant compherend certain 1oz silver coins (not just panda coins though) how their numis valuation kicks in. Yes low mintage plays into a factor but some prices I have seen are jaw-breaking and almost made my eyes pop-out  Oh well I am a crawling baby here and ought to learn a new stuff in every single day. Peace ^.^v
Now you have a few cost a few thousands in 1 oz silver or less Mirror 2000 1250 now. Year ago 2500 both in ms69 in ms70 i think will go for 4000/5000 or more 1995 micro date 3160 in ms69 (pricepedia march 2012) 1983 2000 to 2700 in omp (27 grs) 1984 2250/2350 ms69 1985 1850/2670 ms69 usa/china You saw now have a few good very high prices. But i think in 10 to 30 years they will go for 30.000 or more
I just bought Six MS69 2012 Pandas for $350 shiipped to Canada. I will try to flog them for $80.00 each on Craigslist.
I'm new at this so... the writing on the righthand picture means, 'the People's republic of China', the coin' face value is 5 Yuan. edit: It looks like it's a coin celebrating the film "The Planet of the Apes"???
translation: it says world cultural heritage and a site close to Beijing where remains of early man were found..........
Today I purchased a 1999 small date Conserved NGC Graded MS 68 Panda for $202.50 shipped. Just wondering from the resident experts if this was a fair price. Got it from ebay.
Good price according to pricepedia - you beat me to it - I was bidding max 200 - it is good to know to who that went. Nice to meet you.
Yes i buy a few coins from michael (panda moneya) And the coins are fresh. He have it a few days ago returning for ncs/ngc after a few months.
I purchased this 1995 small twig 1oz silver panda from a locak dealer for $120.00. Can anyone tell me if it is a genuine or a fake? Thanks.
I guess that is a large date? Any idea what would be the fair market value for a raw coin like this. Thanks for your expertise.
69s are going for $260-$290 http://www.coincompendium.com/w/index.php/CCT604 That would put a raw coin in the $130-$150 range, so a decent deal.
