http://www.bullionbourse.com/#ecwid:category=584923&mode=product&product=10108584 BB Man that would be a nice addition , itchy trigger finger much!
That is a nice one. Was looking at them just today. I picked up the 2011 proof set will post pics when it arrives.
I'm very tempted by this offer. [I'm sure my better half will understand that food is a luxury, not a necessity.] http://www.coininvestdirect.com/en/silver_coins/libertad-1kg-silver-bu-2011.html Do you mind telling me where you got yours from, as we seem to be in the same hemisphere?
Reggie, in the UK you should be looking at http://www.coininvestdirect.com/en/silver_coins/, they have them on a 'special' at the moment. "I didn't get where I am today without knowing where to get 1 Kilo Libertads" ...."Yes CJ"
thanks Lurkalot, but the link I posted takes you to the special , and Mrs Perrin has sadly set me straight; food isn't a luxury, and just because we fed the children yesterday, it doesn't mean we can skip feeding them tomorrow
I was just looking at the mint numbers for this coin, upto 2010 http://www.banxico.org.mx/billetes-...medallas-en-metales-precios/silver-coins.html Brilliant uncirculated; 2003 (yr 2008), and 4000 (in 2009 & 2010) proof like ; 1700 (yr 2008 & 2009), 1500 (2010) If this were a 1oz coin this would be considered a low mintage?! but is it a low mintage for a 1Kg coin? Given you can get the BU for about 5% above spot, is there any chance of a numismatic premium in the future? or is it a case these bigger coins are just not collected, therefore they should be treated as pure bullion plays? cheers P.S. Sorry for all the sentences that end in, '?'
For me, no change in design = bullion only no numi increase.... so not good for flippers but good for admiration
It's a stunning coin, I don't think I have ever owned a libertad oddly enough... I can't afford to get one right now but thinking of things I can sell to change that Also great we can buy them from an Aussie dealer.
I have a few have not seen any issues apart from something right at the end of a couple of things that stick out getting shiney (NOT ME!)
Not enough cash for the proof only for the BU at last there is a good deal offered on a German Website for the BU 2011 1kg Silver Libertad
You got it right first time but when I bought mine it cost a good deal more so I am considering getting another right now - cannot decide as the 20% VAT thing is a killer !
I have never seen any flaws or milky spots on the Mexican Libertads. I have half ounce through to kilo ( but only one of the big guys and rolls of the small ones ! ) I was disappointed in the rolls of 20 x 1 ounce coins as they come in a paper tube - bit like a toilet roll inner tube - only smaller. I tear open the roll and put each coin in a capsule. They are very nice coins with tremendous fine artistic detail. The Mexicans also must have very accurate scales because the coin weights are very close to exact - no extras / bonus silver.
Bought in october 23 of the bullion versions and in december 1 more. The design is nice, and they have a bigger diameter than ex Lunars. Makes them look even better.
So i take it that the mexican coin rolls are same as canadian.. no capsules. Where did you get the capsules for them.. Maggie? I've got my first roll of Libs on the way along with some 5oz'ers. Might need capsules for them also. I would love a kilo Lib, next buy maybe.
