Oh Wow! Where can i get that Hello Kitty coin?!!!! I know someone who would really like that coin.

Nice PFs Musemellow! :) I like the 1987s. Hard to get in MS69s - and you got matching numbers also.

Nice 1987 PF69s. I only have the S10Y, the 5oz quite hard to buy.

The Hello Kitty coin is Tuvalu/NZ Mint? I wanted to get one but given up since it's quite expensive, rather buy pandas hahaha.

Just got my grade back on this coin ... 69 ... yippee !!!

Very happy since I paid less than the pricepedia OMP/67 price and only 6 of these (including mine) have graded 69.

750 authorized minatge ... how many actually remaining ? :)

    Great job musemellow !

I have seen those 1987 5 oz tough to grade as over time they develop toning and also some type of "flaking" is the best I can describe it.

Last year I bought a set like this in a local coin store for $350 as the 5 oz was in bad shape but the 1 oz was flawless. I sent both coins to NCS/NGC and NCS did a great job on the 5 oz as it graded 67 which I determined almost ungradable before sending. The 1 oz came back PF69.

I sold the 5 oz for $450 and kept the 1 oz not bad a free coin.

Anyway your coins look fantastic man congratulations ! :)

    Thanks comeaux, :)

I believe that this coin will be harder and harder to get a 69 from NGC/PCGS as years passed (25 years old coin)

Yes I agree with you ... this coin only has about 30% that have graded NGC PF69 Ultra Cameo

Compare this to say a S10Y 2009 Panda that has about 80% or higher in 69/70 grade and it's very apparent how older coins like these are difficult to consistantly attain high grades.

Especially these larger 5 oz coins ... anyways you have some extremely nice coins here man, very happy for you !

Good luck on yours tamo42 ... the masters like you seem to always do well !

Hah, well we shall see. The 5 oz had some toning that was easily visible to the naked eye.

The 2 Varieties of 2003 panda, Frosted and Satin

Can't see clearly the difference of the bamboo background from the picture

But we can see the differences in mint seal pattern, coin capsule and panda paw
