    WELL maybe

    Sort of

    Could be

If you get them in original packaging ,for the right coins ( on fleebay ) you could get BV (book value )
I've had 100's of them ,I went real hot on them for a while .
They just take up toooooo much space in OP.
I've sold the "right ones " on fleebay for $26 each
But I've sold the bulk of them on here for $20 each

    Yes I'd rather 1 full Sovereign than 20 x $10 coins ;)

If you think Silver will tank and drop below $16/oz you'd be better off with $10 state coins to be honest.

Don't feel too bad. Around the early 2000s i sold a stack of about 40 sovereigns at rouggly a third of what they are worth today, and put the funds into a property.

People sometimes forget that for a very long time, gold was really in the doldrums and it was unwanted. I remember lots of programs about the "problem" with gold, gold becoming irrelevent and the World Gold Council or some such body not being able to do much to lift the price.

How do you feel about it today? Are you at peace with yourself or do you still regret it?

My parents bought them in the 50s and 60s as a hedge against rampant inflation and an unstable currency back in "ye old country".
