Hey Stackers, Another n00b to the stacking game, I signed up a week or so ago and already met some friendly and very helpful people (Redback, Jislizard, 1for1, iceblue, maggie) Learning lots (spent a couple of hours reading one thread on the economy the other day) and got lots more to learn. Thanks for providing such a cool community and being so welcoming to newbies to the game you all love. Oh, and and Kia Ora (Hello) from another Kiwi in your fine land James
Welcome JimmyJames I met a guy once who said he was my Bro, could never work it out because he looked nothing like me :/
Name check! Sweeeeet! Welcome aboard! Edit: Kia Ora was an fruit flavoured sugar drink popular when I was a kid, not with me though, just the rich kids who could afford to drink out of a cardboard box with an attached straw, true story!
Thanks for the warm welcome my bro's and sis's I do - Tawa and I used to hang out here http://tinyurl.com/7long8p Did he look like this fulla? Yeah I'm pretty sure we met at that Timaru Sheep Auction - aren't you that guy in the blue shirt with the hat on? Sounds delicious.... mmmm attached straw! Couldn't find any pics on the google though?! I leave you with a classic by Dick Frizzle - "Mickey to Tiki Tu Meke" Source:
Hey James, Why the move to Australia? Work? Climate? Lifestyle? Family? Genuine question - I've been considering making the opposite move in recent times - NZ seems like a great place to be self sufficient on the land. Cheers
Hey R0dman I came over for a change of scene for a while + the better money. NZ is definitely a good place to live off the land, the climate is less extreme, there's more water and good soil. Although remember it gets pretty cold in the winter and you can't grow much unless you are in the north of the north island. If you haven't been before I definitely recommend going for a holiday for a few weeks to tour the country and find your favorite spot. If SHTF I'm on the first flight home, if the planes are still flying that is ;-) If you have any other questions shoot me a PM
