recomend a book related to gold / commodities

Hi there,

Can anyone recommend a book which i can gain knowledge from relating to commodoties (in particular gold), would also be good if it had some technical information regarding their extraction and processing.

if anyone could help me i would be greateful.

No expert but maybe "Hot Commodities" by Jim Rogers?

He gives a detailed analysis of crude oil, gold, lead, sugar and coffee etc

"Red Alert" by Stephen Leeb. It doesn't fit all your criteria, but is quality reading. What he says about *how* gold will be used is particularly interesting... in a world of scarce resources, why would you trade your scarce resources for "easily printed paper"? Gold fits the bill better, etc.

 

Thanks to both of you , I think I might start off with hot commodoties, does it also detail how each commodity is extracted?
