I am always reading forum members' opinion on the best form of metal to stack and their reasons for it. Some like large bars, reason - bang for buck. Some like small bars, reason - liquidity. Some like coins, reason - numis, aledged counterfeit difficulty, small denominations for SHTF scenario. Some like proofs, reason - collectability (numi). The plethora of opinions and reasons are seemingly endless, and the above list is by no means exhaustive. But the picture below would seem to satisfy on most counts (except maybe bang for buck). Does anyone have one of these? And if so, do you recommend them? Liberia - 2009 - 40 +12x5 Dollars - Petrus Thaler (1 kilo silver goldplated) PUZZLE COIN (quality: PROOF) Face value: 100 $ (1x40 $ + 12 x 5 $) Material: Silver 999/1.000 Weight: 1.000 g (1kg) Diameter: 120 mm Condition: unc./proof Mintage 1.000 pcs. Oh yeah, for all you gold bugs, there is also this: Liberia - 2009 - 400 +12x50 Dollars - Petrus Thaler (1 kilo gold) PUZZLE COIN (quality: PROOF) Face value: 1.000 $ (1x400 $ + 12 x 50 $) Material: Gold 999/1.000 Weight: 1.000 g (1kg) Diameter: 120 mm Condition: unc./proof Mintage 50 pcs.
They look pretty fiddly for mine, long as they come in a capsule....But in saying that id love one :0) also in resale value might be good as they are Unique. Stick with well known coins (in my very humble opinion)
Where's the cake?? " How to have your cake and eat it too" ????? WTFDTM?? You can't eat your cake if you don't have it first! Title is misleading and nonsensical," you can eat your cake and have it too" would have been a more honest heading. Next time, Please, for those of us that ,at the moment, have no cake, be a little more considerate. Mmmmmmm....cake......
interesting... my favourites are large coins like this one, so you get a little from column A and a little from column B Source: this has close to 4 ounces of silver in it...
Those puzzle coins are very unique. First time I've seen them. I will investigate. Thanks for the post!
I'll give you 22 Bananas for that coin It does say 20 bananas on that coin doesn't it That way you make 2 Bananas
Unique means only one of. And something can't be very unique, either it's unique or it's not. Welcome to the forum
