Think your question related to Brits living in the UK so you can gain from their experiences. Stacking PM requires answers from - - Where to buy & sell ? - How much ? - Tax ? Etc. Unfortunately for UK residents we get screwed with VAT on silver at 20% unlike 90% of this forum's contributors. Keep the UK forum alive by posting your questions and comments.
Nothings keeping u here..... Quite frankly, im sick of overseas 457s that i see in my industry that come over and steal aussie jobs cos their shitty country has no work... and then whinge they dont like it here. Not that im a prick, but i see it alot in my line of work.... its sickening.
@photonaware Thanks for taking my question seriously. Yes i have welsh blood but live in England and have family spread around the uk. It seems to usually be the English that are switched on to investing for the future, so I was hoping to get some advice of members like your self as im completely new to the precious metal market. Im not interested in the "Big monopoly" game, so getting past all the "BS"... I think its quite obvious by now that the country with the most resources is at the top of the food chain. It seems like a good idea for people in the lay public like myself to invest in some sort of tangible investment. My parents and grandparents have worked and saved their entire lives and now due to the state of the monotary system stand to loose it all and even if they dont the government/private nursing homes will try to steal it back from them. Being part of the new generation and knowing what it feels like to struggle with work and money im still working out where best to buy from and understanding the effects it will have on the economy. Id like to think im responsible enough to be part of looking after the future of our local economy. More and more people will soon start investing in silver and in turn, it will start effecting the economy. Because of this id like to split my investment and buy some silver from Asia due to price and quality and some from wales hopfully helping to produce some sort of stimuli for the local economy. If the chinese government can be blunt and honest enough to tell their own people its time to start investing than why cant ours?
Lack of funds and a fiance keep me here for the minute but once she's hit 20 or sonething we'll think about it lol And agree with the foreigners (not racist i hasten to add) but im stuck in a part time 18hr a week affair due to lack of jobs
Hello John, Another Uk'er here, welcome to the forum. Here you will find a wealth of information and if need any answers just fire away, there are some very knowledgeable folk on here. Rockin'
Recently ive just been buying a load of half oz rounds from the channel islands to avoid paying tax, oh yea and pre 1947 coins are my new thing again avoiding tax. I wouldnt mind knowing a few more places to buy silver from at a good price Ladybird, obviously gender is irrelevant.
Lord Nelson, whos he??? Ok im sure he would be intrested just hasnt got round to checking his thread.
457 shitty job stealer, reporting in! Only joking, I am over on a 457, but who wants to have broken glass thrown at them by a 16 year old as paid employmeent? Evidently not many Aussies from my experience! I'm a Manc, well from Leigh, Lancashire originally. My best advice would be to get out here where silvers tax free and the weathers better. I left at 24, and the best move I ever made! Blast me a PM, always happy to help out a fellow Englishman!
