    Hi guys

Just purchased a 10 oz silver Kookaburra coin from GS. Unhappily, it's arrived in really poor condition. The capsule is visibly scratched and there appears to be a milk spot on the coin (can't remove capsule, not sure how). Any suggestions as to what I should do? Send it back or wear it? Either way, I reckon I won't be going back there.

    Who/what is GS?

Were any photos of the item available?

    Have you tried contacting them?

Contact them and ask for a swap/refund.

Contact the dealer before going public as anything could have happened in the shipping.

Thanks for the feedback, guys. I have contacted them and they're willing to replace it. I can't tell you how shocked I was when I saw the coin as it was so well-packed. Possibly a Perth Mint problem, but we'll probably never know.

    Thanks again for the advice.

There was someone at the Silver Stackers Meet-up in Melbourne on Sunday with a similar coin. Not sure if it was a Kook or not. The spot was more brown than a regular milk spot.

I think it was acquired 2nd hand and not from any dealer.

Yell out if that was you....

Problem resolved and coin replaced - there was actually a big fat grey hair in the capsule. Maybe the mint should introduce hair nets :/
