2012 Gilded Silver 1 oz dragon and red (think 1/2 oz year of dragon would be OK if you are willing to hold for at least 9 mo IMHO

**Edit ** 1/2 oz only if Perth mint NOT 1/3 oz from RAM

Im not a fan of gilded coins or coloured coins. But if you like them, go for it.

No idea about pricing though. Plenty more wise folks than me can answer that for you.

I reckon if you like gold you should keep swinging your detector, then sell or trade the nuggets and buy straight silver coins or whatever with the proceeds.

Hey mm800, what sort of detecting you into?

Please feel free to contribute to some of the the detector-type threads that are running if you have any experiences, knowledge or pics you may wish to share.

It ALWAYS depends on the price !

It is worth to buy Thai Baht if you can get them 40 for 1 Aud
and not worth to buy generic silver at SPOT + 30%

    getting back to the point.

The forum doesnt know what the prices of those coins are at the Post Office thus cant say whether they are worth buying or not.
    (probably not )

If you want to buy some silver, than open a thread on here and ask for best offers, and than discuss the offers with members, and than to confirm that you are getting
good prices for the items offered check with eBay and other silver/gold selling websites.

2012 Gilded Silver 1 oz dragon; they are readily available, they are not selling out very fast and the series is not that popular (I have one though)

    No 3 of 5 Kakoda
    1oz Centenary 1911 to 2011
Battle of Jutland 1 oz: Perth Mint are churning out coloured rubbish which no one wants, best to avoid

Gilded 1oz Yeart of the rabbit; This has been on the shelf for over a year, not much interest in them.

red (think 1/2 oz year of dragon; Check if it is proof or specimen, proof not so much but there are a few people after the specimens (myself included)

Dragons are better than nothing so I think you got the best one!

All the coins you've listed are collector coins. I suppose buy it only if you'd like to keep it, otherwise you might be disappointed with the resale value.
