I have the 2012 guide and it seams to me that the retail prices that are quoted are really low. Would love to know where i can get a 2007 specimen koala for $30 or a 2008 one for $45 (pg 304)
Any more qualified members have an opinion on the 2012 books pricing.

The preemptive word is guide...one needs to take into the account the price of silver/gold at the time, etc, McDonald explains this in the guide anonmiss. No such book could ever be truly accurate when you consider the time that needs to go into compiling the pricing, which includes getting information from many areas including auctions that finish right on the printers deadline.

Greg McDonald has publicly stated that as from next year there will be no PM issues included in the guide as there are becoming too many to be able to include. :(

It would be much less time consuming if they simply listed prices as "Spot + $xx" rather than manually adjusting prices against a constantly changing spot rate.

Trying to get realistic values for all the semi-numismatic items from the book is a waste of time at the moment because spot changes a lot faster than premiums do.
