Yikes, they came without wrappers! There's a seller on ebay - scottsdalesilver(16719), that says they are the actual company. Anyone purchase rounds/bars from him before?
Got my scottdales from Sammy silver today and compared them with my others and they are exactly the same. The S detail on the back is helpful. On the left edge of the back some S's are connected into the edge, different from the right side.
A few dealers in Melbourne I've spoken to lately are reporting lots more new customers coming in,that have bought fakes on fleebay. Than spend $5k-$10k at the dealers, I recently saw a fake 1kg bar ,that tested as copper/nickel & looked like it was chrome plated
This is disturbing... Anyone got any idea of other fake bars by other companies, only ever heard of fake coins.
Just like to point out 31g is the minimum they have to weigh if theres a difference that goes a little over that, I wouldn't get too concerned. Edit:- also just look at size and if they all look the same size I believe miniscule differences in relief could cause that difference.
NOW THATS A GOOD IDEA !!!!!! With pointers to the flaws .Some are that bad they wont need them & will be good for comedy value . Good thinking spanner
Banjo that pic u posted on page 2 of the back of the bar is a dead giveaway it's fake. Looks nothing like draegrs ones which look fine. More info on the fake kilo bar please? +++1 on the fake sticky thread
It was a new member on here,if he sticks his head up I'll take some pics ,there was a good chance he got his $ back.
