Good news for all Sydney-siders (and surrounding suburbs/towns) Guardian Vaults is expanding and will be operating a new secure storage facility right in the Sydney CBD. No dates given yet but they are taking pre-registrations (I'm guessing it'll be ready with the next 12 months). I haven't attached the pre-registration form but I'm sure that if you email [email protected] and ask for a Sydney pre-registration form they'll send one to you. Also there's the option to transfer any Melbourne-based accounts to Sydney when they open for business.
Sounds good to me! If it's all stolen in a government swoop after gold is again declared illegal to hold, my little hoard will skyrocket in value with the local Chinese and Indian merchants.
Do you mean price list just for Guardian Vaults? I'm going to HSBC today to discuss cost for having a safe deposit box open through a preimum account, will give an update once I got more info.
Yes, I want to see how competitive they are against some of the other offerings in the CBD. Cheers, Slam
Do you mind sending me a PM with info as well once you get it, I was debating whether to move to HSBC as I have one near me but if GV is coming to Sydney I'll need to reevaluate what to do. ps. I am normal HSBC customer, not premier if that makes a difference  Thanks
Guys, remember there is a difference between segregated deposit boxes like Guardian Vaults have and "safe deposit facilities" that most of the banks offer. The banks often just dump your stuff on a shelf in their strongroom.
has anyone heard from Guardian about cost, timing etc? (maybe the OP?) I emailed them about a week ago but haven't heard back. Yeah, i know christmas etc, i'm just impatient to get my stack somewhere more secure, but wanna avoid the banks
Hey goldpelican do you have any Silver stacker brownie points with Gardian Vault? Can we get a referal treat or at least promote Silver stackers by all of us mentioning it when dealing with them?
Well that convinces me that if anyone wants to reset the financial system, invade, introduce martial law, or knock off a bullion store then Christmas is the time to do it. Preferably Christmas afternoon when everyone is lying on the couches stuffed to the gills with too much christmas lunch. I'm very surprised they closed doors there GP. Did they have emergency access?
