    Hi,

    I just saw this set at my LCS...

    Four Proof Coins including a 2001 Lunar snake - PROOF -- all four (the lot) for $300.....



    Australia's 21st Century Silver Four-coin Set: consisting of a:

    Perth Mint Australia 2001 1oz Millennium Coin
    1oz Australian Kookaburra Proof Coin
    1oz Proof Year of the Snake Coin
    Royal Australia Mint's 1oz Proof Kangaroo Coin

    Notes:
    Limited to a release of 5,000 sets, the coins were housed encapsulated, in a blue leatherette, hinged-lid presentation case.

    So for $300 what do people reckon.. if anyone wants i can buy and you can give me a little finders fee... i mean this seems like a decent buy.. the proof snake alone is like $150?

    I'd hit that... for the mere reason that it's one of only three "special" sets issued that include Series One lunar coins:

    * 2000 Dragon Proof Gold & Silver - 1oz Gold & 1/2oz Silver
    * 2001 Millenium Set included 1oz Proof Snake Silver
    * 2004 Typeset included 1oz Proof Monkey

    Hi Opal, i have a decent amount of opals myself being a gemstone collector, the Coin Shop is the one downstairs from Wynyard station in sydney downtown area, inside the mall in a random side wing. A very honest dealer with a decent amount of loose 1 oz bullion for $45 - (better than elsewhere trust me!)

    Just save me a couple of those sold out perth mint anda's they are selling for 105...

    Hmm BU - that might be why it's not listed as a separate set. I'll have to rummage through the mint's PDFs again.

    Thanks for sharing, never been there and probably won't go in for this deal but would keep an eye out for them in the future ;)

    (always on the lookout for good coin/bullion seller/stores in Sydney!)

    Hi, this was my first time (so its not my LCS at all - but now i know its very local). Yes its a nice shop a good selection.. i still have my favourite on the other side of town..

    The Roo is a 2001 and is a solid 80-100 dollar coin. Here anyway.
