Hey all I have recently discovered the Panda coin as a top quality investment. I was wondering what coins would be good to get into now (am already planning on buying up large amounts of 2011 as close to spot as possible) and what strategy is safe but could also still be profitable

So far I have awaiting delivery:

    SILVER
    10 x 2009 Commemorative 30th anniversery 1oz Bullion
    1 x 2010 NGC MS69 slabbed 1oz
    1 x 2011 NGC MS69 slabbed 1oz (looking to get a 2009 slabbed to make a tao set)
    1 x 2007 standard BU

    GOLD
    1 x 2007 1/20 Bullion
    1 x 2008 1/20 Bullion
    1 x 2011 1/20 Bullion

Get some Gold fractional pandas such as 2011 or 2010 or earlier if you can get the at around (< 15% premium) over generic fractional bullion of the same size.

That's my "safe" strategy, because worst case scenario is melt value (which is like 70% of the coin value already) and best case scenario it goes to the moon.

Saw your post the other day, I have a few MS69 NCG pandas if you are still looking for one. Have a few other years 2000 to 2010. I'll look this afternoon for numbers.
Would rather swap than sell for fiat.
Pm me if you are interested

You've come to a great forum to learn from. There are many, present company excluded, here who know tons about Pandas!
Don't hesitate to ask questions, they love helping out.
Congrats on your collection so far, very nice start indeed!

I know relatively little in comparison to some , but one bit of advice I feel comfortable giving is this; pay close attention to mintage figures.
Panda mintages are pretty 'screwy' to use technical term. They vary greatly, especially gold fractionals. Older coins may have a much higher mintage than some middle year coins or even later year coins.
One example is 1/20 gold. In 95 they minted 133k, in 96 145. Looks like normal increased mintages. But hold on, in 97 they mint only 54k, then in 98 fewer still, half as much at 27k.

My point is; collecting Pandas can be tricky, yet it's what I and others enjoy. With an inconsistent mintage combined with many special issues, it's a hobby that is both challenging and rewarding.
    Happy Collecting!

I seriously need to look at some gold panda fractionals... sovereigns are just way more liquid over here and CGT exempt!

Congratulations and very welcome. Here ,the forum people are excellent people and i learn a lot from they.
I Begin with 2011. Later 2009, 2009 30th and 2010. And take a adiction and in less than 4 months i need only the 1992 1 oz silver panda and i Will make a full set.
Later i saw the gold fractional are cheaper than the silver and Begin buying gold pandas.
