Now that I'm interested in the Unis I've noticed, sadly, that the number of people bidding for them on eBay is staggering. 15 bids or more is common place, with 20 or more not surprising. I'm not seeing those kind of numbers as consistently with any other coin, not even Pandas.
Maybe I'll just stick to Koalas LOL

I love my few Unicorns, but I don't like buying on ebay, so miss out on many of them that are for sale. : )

I'm pretty much hooked after being shown a 94, 96 & 97 the other day in person by a fellow forum member. Pictures just don't do their beauty justice, like most coins.

My local shop has had two 1994 silver uni proofs in the case for months. Asking $65 each for them, but they're toning and just don't have the proof appearance I am used to. I look at them every time I go in, but I just can't convince myself to buy them. I've scoped them out on eBay for a while and the prices seem to be very up and down.

    Offer him $40-$45
Tell him they are only worth melt value due to the toning

A question; are all silver unis proof? If not how can one tell the difference. I just bought a 97 and it was listed as uncirculated, but it has a mirror finish like a proof. Thanks for any info.

Yep. Even the BU have a mirror like finish.

Price range for a 1997 BU is $90-110 and 1997 Proof is $250-400 (roughly).
