On the board in the past I've made comment about the case where a Bank of Queensland Franchise Owner/Manager allegedly stole funds from his own bank and when caught blamed Irish Revolutionaries for injecting him with a poison and ransoming the antidote. I beleived this was the most fanciful excuse I'd ever heard and concluded he was just another crook.

Today it was announced that a jury found him to be not guilty of stealing.

I think it only appropriate, given the circumstances, that I take back anything untoward I've said about the manager, the case and the bank itself ! I'm big enough to admit I was wrong.

"Irish Revolutionaries for injecting him with a poison and ransoming the antidote", should I try that out on the wife? Think not :p

Why can't you just be humbly wrong? Why attribute yourself bigness even while saying you're wrong?

Probably because of the common saying "it takes a big man to admit when he's wrong".

Why make a comment on a tiny aspect of his post and blow it out of proportion? I do it because I'm a prick what's your excuse?

Lol, ok, I'm just irritated by human egos, and certainly not non guilty. I'm sick to death of the human race - twisting it to be right no matter what. Also why take a cliche like, "it takes a big man to admit when he's wrong", and apply it witlessly. Maybe it doesn't take a big man to admit when he's wrong. There could be other motivations. Sometimes it might be big, sometimes not.

Finicki and Klaten, you're absolutely right...it was an egotistical, male-centric thing to say. And I just wanted you two to know that I'm man enough to admit I was wrong and come back here in front of the whole forum and apologise!

Claw, just because he was found 'not guilty' doesn't automatically mean it wasn't a bunch of shit he made up to dupe the system.

Remember, a 'court of law' also found OJ Simpson 'innocent' too!

You place far too much faith in the judicial system I think and should stand by your original impression.

The courts simply don't always get it right and this situation reeks of complete and utter bullcrap.

For the record, I still believe he is guilty as sin and made up the sorry excuse to get away with a crime (and was good enough to get away with it!)
